Agriculture
We carry forward a tradition that feeds families and communities.
Our agriculture is rooted in family tradition, hard work, and a deep responsibility to others. In Hancock County, much of what is grown supports a larger system, fueling animal feed and sustaining food production far beyond our community. Our work comes full circle as livestock becomes the food found in our homes, stores, and restaurants. It’s a cycle built on trust, stewardship, and values—where farmers care for the land, adapt with new technology, and pass knowledge from one generation to the next. We feed communities, support global systems, and carry forward a way of life that matters.
We Cultivate ResourcesBuilt on responsibility—to the land, to the animals in our care, and to others.
It shows up in the work that isn’t always seen: fields cared for season after season, animals raised and monitored with attention and respect, and decisions made with the long term in mind. Much of what is produced here moves on—to feed animals, supply markets, and support food systems far beyond our community—but it all begins with doing things the right way. That includes the essential role of veterinary care, ensuring livestock are healthy, well-managed, and able to thrive.
It’s also rooted in tradition. In Findlay-Hancock County, agriculture is often passed down, learned over time, and shaped by experience. Families work side by side. Neighbors step in when needed. Professionals are trusted partners in that work, helping maintain the health and quality of what is raised.
Our agriculture reflects steady values—care, consistency, and pride in doing the work well. It’s not about recognition. It’s about knowing that what is grown and raised here supports lives, strengthens communities, and carries forward something worth continuing.
