Raise the Bar encourages professionals at all levels of their career to help interview students.

Number Needed

On average, Raise the Bar needs 110 professionals across different industries to join the countywide mock interview day for high school juniors.

Audience

All 11th-grade students from eight Hancock County school districts.

Preparation and Follow-Up

Raise the Bar provides interview questions, directions for the event, and lunch. Student follow-up is handled immediately after each interview (give students feedback), and then a survey about participation sent via email.

The time spent now helps reduce the time spent later. Better-prepared candidates lead to more effective interviews and hiring decisions.
